What to do on a rainy day in Miami: there is plenty
Miami's summer afternoons include brief tropical downpours. Here is how to spend a rainy day in style, with a private residence to come home to.
Culture & museums
Miami punches above its weight for art and culture. The Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) on Biscayne Bay is the anchor, with a world-class permanent collection and rotating exhibitions. The Institute of Contemporary Art Miami (ICA) in the Design District is smaller and free. The Bass Museum in South Beach is a five-minute walk or drive from the residence. Wynwood's galleries are an afternoon in themselves, over 50 are concentrated in a walkable district, with the Wynwood Walls as the centrepiece.
In-residence options
A private chef dinner is one of the best rainy-day investments: a professional chef comes to the residence, cooks a full dinner in the kitchen and leaves the residence spotless. Arrange with at least 48 hours' notice through your dedicated contact. Alternatively, the residence's spacious living room, kitchen and three bedrooms are designed for comfort: order in from a top restaurant, stream a film, or take a spa afternoon at the Bamford Wellness Spa downstairs.
